Research Summary

The division aims to clarify the mechanism for controlling feeding, glucose metabolism and energy metabolism, based on “meal/gut-brain linkage” including the role of vagal afferent nerve. From this perspective, we aim to uncover the cause for type 2 diabetes, obesity and abnormal feeding and to establish/develop novel treatment of these diseases.
